FEED 100

Today I went to the Whole Foods store that just opened in my area. I like to stop in at Whole Foods every once in a while to get gastronomic gee-gaws like chocolate or specialty cheeses and when I checked out they bagged my purchases in a FEED 100 bag. It's a really nice gesture to give these bags away today because they are useful bags that support a good cause.

Made out of 100% cotton, these full-size shopping bags with pockets zip up into a handy little rectangle that you can keep in your purse so if you are out you'll always have a shopping bag handy.

Most noteworthy, however, is that these bags support a good cause: feeding children going hungry around the world. Operated through the UN World Food Program, the FEED bag program has different styles of bags that represent specifc places where needs are being addressed. Proceeds from the FEED 100 bag, for example, are dedicated to schoolchildren in Rwanda. The "100" in the name signifies meals for 100 school children that are paid for with the sale of this bag.
